Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 June 2026
Overview
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DoseMate service, including the website, web application, and any associated email or SMS notifications (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
DoseMate is a tracking and reminder tool, not a medical advice service. See the Medical Disclaimer for important limitations.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a DoseMate account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. DoseMate is intended for use by individuals managing their own medication schedules or, where appropriate, schedules for a family member or person in their care.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your password or allow others to access your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately and change your password.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Email verification is required before reminders can be sent.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and only for its intended purpose. You must not:
- Use the Service to store medication information for any person other than yourself or a person in your care.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any other user's data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable Australian law.
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service without our written permission.
Subscriptions and billing
DoseMate offers a Free plan and a Paid plan. Paid plan pricing is published on the Pricing page and is charged in Australian dollars (AUD). Subscriptions are billed via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms and authorise recurring charges.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no pro-rata refunds are issued unless required by Australian consumer law. Price changes apply to new subscriptions and renewals after notice is given.
Service availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure outages, or events outside our control may result in downtime. Reminders are provided as a best-effort convenience feature and are not guaranteed to be delivered.
Medical disclaimer
DoseMate is a tracking and reminder tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions, or clinical validation of your medication plan. Always follow the instructions of your doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified health professional. For the full disclaimer, see our Medical Disclaimer.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, DoseMate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss or harm arising from: missed or delayed medication doses; reminder delivery failures; reliance on information entered into the Service; or any interruption, modification, or discontinuation of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
